Like the trees losing their leaves, this time of year is always a reflective one; to look at what is no longer serving you and let it go.
Yoga this month has been focusing on letting go of the layers of tension in the body whist strengthening the core and stabilising the pelvis - both of which have an overall effect on the whole body's strength and stability both physically and emotionally. We've been shifting in the practise...slowing...encouraging our yoga to work deeper, allowing our awareness to internalise, clearing out and letting go, grounding through our feet, prepping for the new seeds of ideas and insights that we can begin to plant ready to flourish in the spring. I'm seeing wonderful things happening in people's bodies as the tension leaves and new spaces open up.
