Chakra Workshop

Chakras are centres of energy within the body. In this fun and relaxed workshop we will explore how the Chakras relate and are connected to certain areas of our physical body as well as the emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of our being. Working on the energetic system of the body by opening and balancing the Chakras increases the body's own capacity for healing and brings the body into better health.
Nestled in the heart of the Essex countryside at the beautiful Retreat farm, and in the space known as The Sanctuary, we will start the day with an introduction to this subtle aspect of the yoga system and a gentle yoga practise that will help open and balance the Chakras releasing any old blocked energies.
In the afternoon we will then look in more detail at the 7 main chakras and discover the effect each has on the body on all levels and experience how the to balance the Chakras in a healing Sound Bath meditation using breath, sound and vibrational therapy.
We will finish the day in a deep, beautiful and healing relaxation specific to the Chakras.
This is a small group setting of just 8 people.
Please bring a packed lunch. Teas, coffee and snacks will be provided throughout the day.

WHAT TO BRING: If you have your own yoga mat please bring it. However if you are just starting out or you forget your mat then I have mats to borrow for the day. Please bring a blanket or an extra layer of clothing for the relaxation as the body will cool down quite a bit during this part of the day and it is hard to relax if you feel cold! You may also like to bring some slippers for moving around the holistic centre. Please bring a pack lunch.
WHAT TO WEAR: Whatever you are comfortable in, just make sure you can move easily. Sometimes wearing a few layers is better so you can take them off and on depending on your body temperature. The class takes place in bare feet but it's nice to have some socks for the relaxation!
