How are you breathing?

I put together this online course all about Breath Health to show how and why yoga, meditation and correct breathing are so important when it comes to the health of the respiratory system.

Only a very small amount of adults breath properly and this can have a detrimental effect on the body's respiratory system, nervous system and immune function.

I've created this workshop to help improve respiratory health, strengthen the immune system and to reduce stress and anxiety.  This is so important at this time not only as prevention but for lessening the severity and improving recovery time should illness occur.

This workshop has been broken down into sections allowing you to move through the course at your own pace and take on bite sized chunks of information so as not to be overwhelmed or you can work through it all in one go and go back through as many times as you need. The course covers:
  • The basic anatomy and the importance of correct breathing
  • What causes poor breathing habits and what can be done to make improvements
  • A daily yoga practise for improving respiratory health.  A chair version of the practise is included along with a downloadable lesson plan
  • Yogic breathing exercises (Pranayama) to encourage correct breathing habits
  • Relaxation techniques​ which includes 3 downloadable mediations allowing you to use the practises offline
  • Tips for when the respiratory system needs extra support i.e when suffering from a cough or cold virus including an information sheet on Aromatherapy for Respiratory Health
  • Bonus topic covering the Mind and Body connection and the relationship between the emotions and respiratory system.  This section also includes an Emotional Support meditation to help process emotions, release trauma and heal the body
  • Emergency First Aid Information 
The Breath Health workshop is a one time purchase and yours to keep indefinitely.  This is a separate workshop to the online library.  You do not need a PayPal account and can make payment with a credit or  debit card or you can do a bank transfer if you prefer (please contact me if you wish to do this).

Free Breath Awareness Meditation

I wanted to share this Breath Awareness meditation with you, its one of the meditations from the Breath Health Online Workshop.  It's great for respiratory health and is deeply relaxing.  You'll find it in the Free Sample section here:

I have been working incredibly hard over the last few weeks to put together an online workshop all about Breath Health to show how and why yoga, meditation and correct breathing are so important when it comes to the health of the respiratory system.

Wishing you a warm welcome to the May newsletter.  I hope this email finds you and your family well.

This month in our online live yoga sessions we have been working through the legs and hips and also opening through the chest and shoulders adding in lots of variations and also having a few giggles along the way. In meditation classes we've been working deeply with the breath and also sneaking off to some beautiful secret escapes!  


​Whether you've been able to join in live or are just making use of the readily available library, the feedback has been amazing, so thank you so much!  


I have so many plans and ideas to share with you and I hope to keep growing and expanding this online part to our yoga even after we return to our usual classes.  I can see what a valuable resource it has become and how it can compliment physical classes.  It also means I can keep connected with those of you in other parts of the world!  So if you haven't signed up yet and would like to join us here is the link www.victoriayogaonine.com.

Here is current timetable for the live sessions:

Monday Evenings 8pm -8.30pm - Live Meditation Session
Thursday Evenings 8.05pm-9.05pm - Live yoga Session

Remember you don't have to join in live if you don't want to, all the live sessions are in the library and available for catch up at a convenient time.

You'll find the live sessions listed in the events tab in your Online Library and a donate link if you want and are able to contribute towards the sessions, a percentage will go to REACH charity who are really struggling at this time.  A huge thank you for all the donations so far!

You can join the live sessions and access the library by signing up to the Online Library directly using PayPal at www.victoriayogaonline.com or if you prefer to do a monthly direct debit you can contact me for details.  

There is also an option to have online 1 to 1 private sessions either as single sessions or as a discounted course.  The benefit of online private sessions is that you will have your own private online library where you can keep all your recorded live sessions to replay at anytime and also any other relevant materials can be placed in here to guide you on your journey to health and wellness.  Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss your individual needs.
