Wishing you a warm welcome to the September newsletter
NEWS AND UPDATES
I hope this email finds you and your family well 🙏
I'm so excited to share with you that last month, Insight Timer selected my 'Can't Sleep?' track to feature on their platform. In 24 hours I went to bed with over 5,000 people from all over the world! 🥴 and the feedback has been so incredible, I'm so happy to have been able to help so many people get to sleep and enjoy a restful night. I've just received another email that they have decided to feature the track again today!! If you would like to experience the track for yourself here is the link (its free!): https://insighttimer.com/victoriayoga/guided-meditations/cant-sleep
As I mentioned last month I am currently studying in the Masters of Wisdom and Meditation Teacher Training with the incredible Davidji. This week, as part of an assignment, we had to record a short 2 minute video discussing the benefits of meditation, I thought I would share mine with you in case it is of interest https://youtu.be/xrqoKl34Oqs
As I discussed in the video having a regular meditation practise is so important for physical health, mental health and wellbeing. Meditation can be practised by anyone, anywhere and no equipment is necessary. If you are new to meditation or even if you have been doing meditation for years but like to explore new techniques or listen to guided meditations then using an online service or app is a great resource. Here are details of online resources that I feel fortunate to be a part of:

SEPTEMBER SESSIONS
In August we used meditation to explore the emotions, and it was lovely to receive such positive feedback. As September often sees the start of a new school year I thought we would get back to some of the foundations of meditation, so this is a perfect time to join the sessions if you haven't done so yet. These sessions are super relaxing and everyone is welcome to join the sessions through the Yoga and Meditation Portal.
In our yoga, we've been putting a bit of everything into our sessions offering some more challenging elements and also adding more specific elements such as upper body work, neck and shoulders, leg work, back care, balance through core strength, deep stretching, breath work and deep relaxation as well as adding variety into our sun salutations. This month we will adjust to the new rhythm as we move towards Autumn. I wanted to reshare the September Slowdown session I offered a few years ago as its so great to do at this time of the year, its available in your library as well as on YouTube youtu.be/MLAkfjpYExA
Whether you are practising with me online or in person please remember that yoga is about working with your own body, there is no pressure to keep up or even have to do everything if it doesn't feel comfortable. Yoga is progressive and if you give your body time, and focus on the relaxation, all the other parts (strength, flexibility etc.) will fall into place

FOR IN PERSON SESSIONS
Space is limited for in-person sessions and priority will be given to monthly bookings. Pre booking is essential. Please contact me to check availability and to book in for a session.
WHAT TO BRING: If you have your own yoga mat please bring it. However, if you are just starting out or you forget your mat then I have mats to borrow for the class. Please also bring a blanket or an extra layer of clothing for the relaxation as the body will cool down quite a bit during this part of the class and it is hard to relax if you feel cold! You may also like a small cushion or folded blanket for underneath the head or knees.
WHAT TO WEAR: Whatever you are comfortable in, just make sure you can move easily. Sometimes wearing a few layers is better so you can take them off and on depending on your body temperature. The class takes place in bare feet but it's nice to have some socks for the relaxation!
Please see this link: Guidelines for in-person yoga sessions
If you have any questions or queries please feel free to contact me.
Peace and blessings to you Victoria
Kind regards
