Phew!! Summer is here and it's hot hot hot! Hope you are managing to stay cool and make the most of the gorgeous sunshine.
We have had a variety of classes this month, some classes have been a bit challenging (ok really challenging!) and others have been gentle and healing. With this current weather, the muscles have been warmed by consistent days and nights of heat and we've been able to have a really really good stretch. It's a great time to gently push those boundaries out, overcome challenging postures and enjoy a more supple and open body.
If you have a home practise it's a great time to take it outside. An outdoor practise offers a whole new sensory experience - important for nerve and brain health! Plus there's that "lovely sunshine that gives us vitamin D and makes us happy" according to my 2 year old daughter!
Remember also to offer variety in your practise, it's good for giving a whole body workout and reducing repetitive strain but also builds new neural pathways in the brain - the importance of learning or doing something new every day!
