I hope you are well and enjoying the glorious colours of autumn.
With the changing weather there is a tendency energetically to withdraw into the centre of the body where it's warm and snug, a sense of nesting before hibernation. October's yoga has been gently drawing us out to the extremities of the body taking time to focus on the fingers and toes and encourage warmth and circulation into these often forgotten areas in yoga. We've been unlocking the pelvis to encourage the flow of energy and relaxation time has been a time of reflection, and important aspect of autumn - to let go of old, unhelpful habits and beliefs and to plant new seeds for the future. As we race towards the end of the year make sure to use your yoga practise to take some quality time out for you, to tune into how you are feeling, to be reflective and to make necessary changes. You'll never regret time on your mat no matter how busy you are!
